Missions

This is the mandate of our Missions Committee:

“To see the Gospel of Christ proclaimed outside of our congregation through support of missions which fulfill the great commission of Christ as proclaimed by the Lord in Matthew 28:19-20 and Acts 1:8”.

We support a variety of missions and ministries throughout the world as well as close to home.  Currently we financially support organizations and missionaries with FEB French Missions, FEB International, Heritage College & Seminary, New Tribes Mission, SIM, Trans World Radio, New Life Camp, Word of Life Canada and Good Seed.  We also make a point of inviting them to make a presentation of their work when they are home on furlough; however, we welcome missionaries to come and present their work, whether currently supported by the church financially or not.

We welcome the opportunity to hear from those just starting for the field. We highlight a particular missionary in the bulletin, make their prayer letters available each week and give updates in morning service as necessary. A display of the highlighted missionary is featured in the foyer and prayer items listed on the prayer sheet.

Our greatest desire is to see our own people catch the vision and to this end we joyfully help support our young people as they work in summer camps and anyone who might express a desire to go to the field as short-term missionaries.

The Mission’s Committee also enjoys supporting projects in cooperation with VBS and other programs within the church family.

Missionaries can send their prayer and speaking requests to Missions Committee Chair Sandra Mullin using one of the methods on the contact page.
